BIO
Andrew Talansky is a strategic advisor, executive performance coach, speaker, and former professional cyclist who helps leaders, teams, and organizations across sport and business create sustainable cultures of peak performance.
During his professional cycling career, Andrew became one of the leading American riders of his generation. His results included a top-10 finish at the Tour de France, a top-five finish at the Vuelta a Espana, a U.S. national championship, and multiple victories and podiums at the highest level of international cycling.
That career provided more than an education in physical performance.
It exposed Andrew to the leadership, preparation, pressure, communication, team dynamics, organizational systems, and cultural conditions that determine whether talented individuals can consistently succeed.
It also demonstrated that talent alone is rarely enough. Individual performance is inseparable from the environment in which it occurs.
Since leaving professional sport, Andrew has applied those lessons across executive and athlete coaching, organizational leadership, health and performance, early-stage business development, brand strategy, community building, nonprofit fundraising, and experiential initiatives.
He has helped build teams and companies, developed performance systems, coached individuals through demanding transitions, advised organizations on positioning and community strategy, and created programs that connect performance, purpose, and measurable execution.
Through Talansky Performance Group, Andrew translates the principles of high performance into practical strategies for leaders, athletic teams, and businesses.
His work is built around a central idea:
Peak performance should not depend on unsustainable effort, individual heroics, or favorable circumstances.
It should be supported by a culture designed to make excellence possible – and durable.
PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY
Performance That Endures
The pursuit of performance is often framed as a question of how much an individual is willing to sacrifice.
Andrew’s experience has produced a different perspective.
The highest-performing people and teams are not simply those willing to work the hardest. They are those with the clearest objectives, the most effective preparation, the strongest communication, the greatest trust, and the ability to adapt without losing sight of the larger purpose.
Sustainable performance is not softer than short-term intensity.
It is more difficult – and ultimately more valuable.
